We are delighted to present a unique proposition: a boutique stay designed around one of England’s great cultural and geographical symbols: water.
Inspired by the British tradition of canals, rivers and navigation—deeply rooted in the history of this island—we have created an experience where language, sport and creativity flow in an exceptional natural setting. Our base, the city of Bedford, is the perfect location for this: crossed by the River Great Ouse and surrounded by canals, lakes and green spaces, it allows water sports to be practised without leaving the town centre.
During this stay, participants will enjoy rowing and sailing lessons in the mornings, along the canals, and cultural excursions to Cambridge and London. Afternoons are completed with workshops and activities alongside English young people, including the preparation of scenes from “The First Circumnavigation”, a play that connects directly with the themes of exploration and navigation.
Everything is carefully designed to create an environment of real immersion, where English is learnt by living the experience and sharing it with other young people.

Monday to Friday:

Water sports activities: practical rowing and sailing lessons at Priory Marina lake and Star Club Bedford rowing club, with specialist instructors
(1 native instructor for every 5 students).
A comprehensive introduction to water sports in a privileged natural setting.
12:00 – 13:00
Lunch at the sailing club.
13:00 – 16:00
Creative and cultural workshops with English young people of the same age (buddies):
o Podcast production
o Photography and graphic design
o Collaborative games and interactive dynamics
o Preparation of theatre scenes in English inspired by The First Circumnavigation (Magellan and Elcano’s first voyage around the world), as part of this edition’s nautical theme.
All activities are carefully designed to encourage natural language learning, peer cooperation and discovery of English culture through living, dynamic and memorable experiences.
